Depth: Background & Foreground

For this assignment we were asked to photograph different subjects a distance away from one another to create the illusion of depth. I chose to focus more on using the background to create that illusion, instead of both the background and foreground. I used exposure to help the background compliment each subject. I think that this is a pretty good set, so enjoy!

Leading Lines

The assignment was to take pictures of objects that make you wonder what's on the other side. My approach was to take pictures close up and far away, so that you can see each image in a different way. I also thought that by playing with the highlights and shadows of the picture, it would help make the images stronger. So here is my set for Leading Lines. Enjoy!

Rule of Thirds

For this assignment, we were asked to take pictures of both scenery and people in different positions, with different divisions. My approach to this was to take something small and make it stand out by using what was around it.

3x3

In this assignment, we were asked to take pictures of people in different heights, positions and distances. My approach to this assignment was to capture my subjects while they were at work, as well as use the backgrounds to make the images come alive.
