Experimental Sketch Book #2

For this experimental sketch book, we focused on adding text to our images. My approach was to find images and create a hidden story within them . I found a focal point in each image and wrote a phase that I thought best fit what was happening in the image. I used some editing effects to make the picture stand out more. Enjoy!

Experimental Sketch Book

In this photo, I used a picture of a building. I used the heat map to make the picture blue and then used the effect, cinema scope to shrink that image. Then I used the effect, orton-ish to brighten the image and then added the hypnotic effect to bring the image all together.

For this image, I used cross process, which  made the image a creme color. I then used the dots and dots effect to add some texture to photo. Then I added the orton-ish effect and the adjustable threshold, which darkened the photo a bit. Lastly I added the film grain effect, which made the dots and dots effect more visible, and the last effect I added was the matte, which blurred the edges of the picture.

On this picture I simply just added the texture effect and some duo-tone to liven the image.

In this photo, I used pencil sketch, which helped to darken and define the details of this photo. Then I added the heat map effect to give the photo vibrant colors, and then the orton-ish effect, which gave the photo a glossy finish. Finally, I added the panography-ish effect, which made the image look as if it were made out of layers of tape.

For this picture, I used the invert effect, to make the image have a dark and greyish color. I then used the panography-ish effect and the hypnotic effect as well.

For this last photo, I used the texture effect and the tint effect, to make the photo purple. Then I added the posterize effect, which gave the image a sort of bubbly and animated feel to it.

Grids

For this assignment, we were asked to make grids with multiple photos. I tried my best to make all of the photos cohesive towards one another. During the process I ended up recycling old photos from past assignments and made comic strips and squares out of them. I hope that you enjoy them!
